Welcome To Scunthorpe Theatres

We are proud of our venues and want to them to be as welcoming as possible to all our customers. A place where EVERYONE can feel safe to enjoy the wonderful performances on our stages. In return, we ask a few things from you.

Enjoy Yourself

First and foremost, we want you to have a great time. Enjoy the performance, meet friends, and have a fun, relaxing and uplifting time while you are with us.

Be Kind

We want ALL our customers to enjoy their experience. So please respect those around you. We are an inclusive venue which welcomes everyone - and everyone enjoys our performances in different ways. Not everyone wants to dance, stand-up or sing. If you do, please be sure that this isn't spoiling someone else's night, blocking their view, or causing a disturbance. Some of our customers have different needs, so they may use the venue in a different way to you, take more time, or need assistance. Recognise the difference and be kind.

Be Polite

Our theatre team are a real asset to our organisation, and they are there to help you have the best night out. Please be polite and courteous to them. If you are someone who likes to shout or threaten others, our venues aren't the place for you.

Be Considerate

We present LIVE events, and the experience of sharing something unique in a space with other people. But your ticket does not entitle you to behave in any way you like. It isn't television, so the performers can hear you talking, see you looking at your phone, or getting up to leave in the middle of the show. They are working hard on stage to entertain you - please be considerate to them and those around you. We understand you want to make memories, but when are you really going to rewatch that wobbly phone footage? Be in the moment and enjoy what's happening around you. Those are the precious memories.

There may be times when we need to...

Act

We have a duty to all our customers and our staff to act when something is not right - and make any changes we need to maintain a safe and respectful environment. So, if we ask to check your bag, this is for your safety; if we refuse to serve you at the bar - it's because your behaviour is likely to cause problems for us, or other customers.

Manage

Things don't always go to plan - shows may be delayed, technical problems may occur, or our staff may be responding to an issue elsewhere in the building. We will manage any situation which arises as swiftly and professionally as possible. Please be assured that we want things to go smoothly too - and are doing everything we can to make that happen.

Listen

We have a lot of experience and have done this for a long time. But we are not perfect. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your visit safer or more welcoming.
